Larimar is a rare pectolite found in only one place on earth; the Dominican Republic. This semiprecious gemstone resides in one mountain deposit of Barahona, a small southwestern costal province. Larimar is the result of unique soil conditions caused by volcanic activities which occurred over 100 million years ago.
